              St. Francis High School – Motto: "Collaboration for the Best"

              On the evening of Saturday, 17th May 2025 at 7:00 PM, the St. Francis High School community came together at the School Maneaba to celebrate and honour staff members whose exceptional teaching efforts led their students to achieve Grade 1 in the 2024 national examinations. This special event served as a heartfelt tribute to the dedication, skill, and impact of our educators.

              The celebration was graced by the presence of school leadership and esteemed guests, including Vice Chairlady Eriteti Mikaere, Director Tarataake Takentebwebwe, and Director Teikarawa Tekinene, who all turned up in full support to witness and recognize this proud moment.

              Award Recipients

              We are proud to recognize the following teachers for their outstanding academic results:

              The event included a formal award presentation, speeches of appreciation, and a social gathering with refreshments. It was a night filled with inspiration, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose as we continue to foster a culture of academic excellence.

              We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all award recipients and thank all members of our school community who continue to contribute to the ongoing success of St. Francis High School.

            • St Francis High Sch Bazar & Exhibition Fundraiser 2025

              Date of Event: Friday, 16th May 2025     Location: Parish Headquarters, Ronton – St. Theresa Parish, Kiritimati

              We are pleased to share that the St. Francis High School Bazar, and Exhibition, held on Friday, 16th May 2025, was a resounding success. The event took place at the Parish Headquarters in Ronton and was organized as part of our ongoing fundraising efforts to support essential school needs, including the acquisition of a school vehicle and a printer.

              Each of our nine classrooms was tasked with raising AUD $500, and we are proud to report that the students rose to the occasion with energy, creativity, and teamwork. Various stalls were set up, offering delicious food, handmade goods, and a range of items prepared and managed by the students themselves.

              We were deeply honoured by the presence and support of Ministers and Catechists from all sectors of St. Theresa Parish. Their encouragement and participation helped make the event more meaningful and memorable. We also extend special thanks to the former parish members and those who once lived or worked in the Parish Hall, for returning and showing their continued support.

              Importantly, we wish to acknowledge the generous households of Ronton, Kiritimati, whose enthusiastic turnout and support through shopping and donations greatly contributed to the day’s success.

              This event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our students, the unwavering support of their parents, and the commitment of our school staff and leadership. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who played a part in making the day successful.

            • Red Team Wins St. Francis Sports Day

            • Mini Stadium, Ronton, Kiritimati — May 14, 2025

              The vibrant spirit of teamwork and healthy competition filled the air today as St. Francis of Assisi High School hosted its much-anticipated Inter-Team Sports Day at the Mini Stadium in Ronton, Kiritimati. The event brought together students, teachers, community members, and special guests in a celebration of athleticism and unity.

              Two of the school’s finest teams, St. Paul (Red Team) and St. Peter (Blue Team), went head-to-head in a thrilling contest that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. After a series of intense and exciting games, the Red Team emerged victorious with a final score of 672 to 606, marking a proud moment for St. Paul supporters.

              The day began with a warm welcome and an opening prayer led by Fr. Tarajake, followed by inspiring remarks from our Guest of Honor, Hon. Minister Mikarite Temari. His presence and support underscored the importance of youth engagement in sports and community development.

              We were also honored by the attendance of several distinguished guests, including the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, the Head Catechist, and various school stakeholders, whose encouragement added a sense of pride and formality to the occasion.

              The event featured competitive matches, friendly relays, and team-building activities that showcased the athletic talents and enthusiasm of our students. Cheers and laughter echoed throughout the stadium, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and joy.

              The organizing committee extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this event, especially our generous sponsors:

              The Principal and event organiser praised the outstanding sportsmanship and cooperation shown by both teams. “This event is not just about winning,” he remarked. “It’s about learning to work together, supporting one another, and building a strong school community.”

              The school looks forward to making the Inter-Team Sports Day an annual tradition, bringing even more excitement and opportunities for student involvement in the years to come.

              Congratulations to the Red Team on their well-deserved victory, and thank you to everyone who made this day memorable. St. Francis of Assisi High School remains committed to nurturing excellence in both academics and extracurricular endeavors.
